I’m Evan (he/him), a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW-C) in Maryland. I’m a 1.75 generation Korean American, raised between cultures and familiar with navigating identity and expectation. I’m a husband and father, roles that continue to shape how I understand responsibility and connection. I have worked and continue to work through complex personal challenges in my own therapy. I earned two master’s degrees, in social work and photography, which reflect both my clinical training and my interest in perspective and meaning.

  • Integrity, intention, and curiosity guide my life and work. I care about equity across gender, sexuality, culture, and identity, and I’m against oppression or abuse of power. I pay attention to how power and social expectations shape relationships and opportunity, and I believe people deserve autonomy and the freedom to define their own lives outside of rigid roles. I hold my values firmly and approach difference with curiosity and respect; safety, dignity, and mutual responsibility are foundational to how I move through the world.

    • I keep myself sane through fitness. I particularly love rucking and using kettlebells and sandbags.

    • Food is my love language. I enjoy both cooking and eating out, especially Asian foods.

    • Basketball is my favorite sport, and I've been a lifelong Wizards fan (so I'm no stranger to patience).
